Imad Fayez Mughniyeh was born on December 7, 1962, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon, to a Shi'a Muslim family. His early life was marked by the Lebanese Civil War, which began in 1975 and had a profound impact on his worldview and future decisions.
